Method 1: Fixing Invalid Partition Table With Command Prompt

Step 1: First, you have to insert a Windows installation disc into your computer. You have to reboot the system from the disc.

Step 2: Then, there will show up a key. Normally the key is Esc. You have to press the promoted key on the screen.

Step 3: Next, you have to select the language, time, currency as required.

Step 4: Now, you have to select Repair your computer on the installation window.

Step 5: A System Recovery Options window will appear. You have to choose Command Prompt as the recovery tool.

Step 6: Once you are in the Command prompt, you have to type the following commands. You have to press Enter after typing each command.

Bootrec.exe /fixboot
bootrec.exe /scanos
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd

Step 7: Finally, you have to restart the computer and then check if the error is solved or not.

Method 2: Resetting the BIOS Boot Sequence

Step 1: First, you have to restart your computer. Now, you have to press DEL or F11, or F12 to open BIOS.

Step 2: Once you enter BIOS, you have to go to the Advanced BIOS feature. There you have to select Hard Disk Boot Property.

Step 3: Now, you have to set the BIOS  to boot from the right disk.

Method 3: Inactivating Partition with DiskPart

Step 1. First, you need a Windows installation disk and you have to reboot Windows. Now, you have to select Repair your computer from the installation screen.

Step 2: A pop-up window will appear. You have to click Troubleshoot then Advanced options there. Now, you have to go to Command Prompt. In the command prompt, you have to type the disk part and then press Enter.

Step 3: Once you are in DiskPart, you have to type the following command and press Enter after each command:

• list vol
• sel vol D

Here, D will be replaced with the partition label which one will set to inactive.

Step 4: Next, you have to select the target partition and after selecting it, you have to type inactive and press Enter to start the process.

Step 5: Finally, you have to type exit there and finish the operation.

Method 4: Fixing Bad Sectors

Step 1: First, you have to select that the hard drive that you want to check.

Step 2: Then, you have to click the Disk. From the menu bar, you have to select Verify Or Repair Bad Sectors.

Step 3: Now, from the Bad track verification window, you have to click on Start Verify. and DiskGenius starts to scan the disk and check bad sectors.

Method 5: Checking if the Hard Drive Is Failing or not

Step 1: First, you have to create a bootable media of MiniTool Partition Wizard on your computer.

Step 2: Then, you have to boot the problematic computer with the bootable media.

Step 3:  Once you are in the MiniTool Partition Wizard, you have to select the system disk. From the action panel, you have to choose Surface Test.

Step 4: You have to wait until the process finishes. Then, you will see the result.

Step 5:  Now, you have to go to the main interface of MiniTool Partition Wizard again. There, you have to connect another hard drive to your computer.

Step 6: Next, you have to reload the disk. You have to click on General. Then, you have to select the system disk and from the action panel, you have to choose Copy Disk.

Step 7: After that, you have to choose the current hard drive as the target disk and then, continue.

Step 8: Now, you have to choose your copy method and click apply to the change. MiniTool Partition Wizard will ask for permission to restart your computer. You have to allow this.

Step 9: Finally,  you have to replace the system disk with the target disk. Then, you have to set your computer to boot from that hard drive.

Method 6: Inactive the Wrong Partition of your Computer

Step 1: First, you have to create a bootable media with MiniTool Partition Wizard on your computer. As MiniTool Partition Wizard has the Bootable Media feature.

Step 2: You have to start up the computer which you want to check the invalid partition table. For this, you may be asked for changing the boot sequence.

Step 3: When you are in the main interface of Once you enter the MiniTool Partition Wizard, you have to find the system disk. After selecting the disk, you have to observe each partition status. If you find twice or more active partition on the same drive, you can continue. But if you find there only one active partition, you have to exit.

Step 4: Now, you have to select the wrongly activate partition and you have to click on the Set Inactive function. You may find the option from the action panel.

Step 5: Next, you have to select the partition which has to be active. Now, you have to choose Set Active from the action panel.

Step 6: Finally, you have to click Apply. You will find the option from the toolbar.

Method 7: Updating BIOS Version

Step 1. First, you have to connect the bootable media to a normal running computer.

Step 2. Then, you have to go to the Dell website and get the latest BIOS for your system type.

Step 3. Now, you have to select the latest version of BIOS from the BIOS category. Then, you have to click Download File.

Step 4. Next, you have to save the file to the media. So, you have to click on Single-File.

Step 5. After saving the file, you have to place the bootable media in the problematic PC. Now, you have to install BIOS.

Step 6. Then, you have to start your corrupted computer. Once the Windows appear, you have to press F12 from your keyboard to open the Boot Device Menu.

Step 7. In the menu, you have to choose the bootable media. Then, press enter.

Step 8. The BIOS file will run automatically. But, if the BIOS.exe file doesn’t automatically run, then you have to open the command prompt. In the command prompt, you have to type E:\XXXXXX.exe. Here E will be replaced with the Bootable USB drive letter. And XXXXX will be replaced with the saved file of the bootable media. 

Step 9. Finally, you have to press Enter to run the file. It will also install the BIOS.
