Step 1- Go to Your Settings
The first thing you need to do is to access your Snapchat settings. To do this simply, you have to go to the page that has the ‘settings’ option on it. Just click on your Bitmoji in the top left-hand corner of the app, and it will take you to your Snapchat profile, this is the page that has the portal to ‘settings’!
You will see there is a settings configuration icon that looks like a flower, in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Touch or click this icon to get into the realm of controlling your Snapchat profile.
Step 2- Go to the “Who can view my story” option
Once your settings page has been loaded, your next step is to find the section with the title “Who can…” name on it. This section controls how much access other people or friends can have with you. Scroll down and you will see under the “Who can…” heading, there is an option called “View My Story”, click on it.
Step 3- Select “Custom”
When you select “View My Story”, there will be another sub-menu with 3 options. The options are ‘Everyone’, which means everyone including non-friends can view your Snapchat story. ‘My Friends’ means only your friends can see your stories. By default, the ‘My Friends’ option is always set for your Snapchat story.
There is another option named ‘Custom’ that allows you to choose which friends can and cannot see your story. Obviously, to block someone from seeing, you have to select this option.
Step 4- Select Friends You Want to Block from Story
Once you select the ‘Custom’ option, you will be redirected to the page ‘Custom Privacy’. This page contains all of your friends and allows you to hide stories from specific followers. Simply click on the names of your friends you want to block from your story, and you will see a blue tick mark on the right side of their name.
You will also see a blue Block option appear at the bottom. When you have already selected the friends in question, you just need to simply hit the Block button and returned to the main page. Now if you upload more stories, those selected individuals won’t be able to see the stories.
How to Unblock Someone From Seeing Your Snapchat Story?
If you have changed your mind about the blocked person or don’t need to hide your story from them anymore, you can unlock them again. Unblocking the friends from your stories works in the same way as blocking them.
Go to your profile and then the setting menu. Scroll until you find the “Who can…” heading, select “View My Story” and then select the option “Friends” if you don’t have any other person blocked.
But in case you want to keep some other people blocked from seeing your stories, go to the “Custom” option and tap on the name of the person you want to unblock, you will see the ‘Block’ option popping up at the bottom, tap it and the unselected person will be unblocked for your stories.
