Fix Your storahci.sys Drive
According to Microsoft support, the resets of the disk controller can be caused by many factors and the advanced host controller interface PCI-express (ACHI PCI-E) is one of them. AHCI PCI-E model causes these symptoms in Windows 10 when running with the storahci.sys drive. Because of a firmware bug, the solid-state drive (SSD) can not properly complete input or output when message signaled interrupt (MSI) mode is enabled.
So, there are two different moves to fix 100 disk usage on windows 10 by fixing the storahci.sys drive.
The first move: Identify if you are running the inbox AHCI driver (storahci.sys)
Step 1: Press Windows key + R to open the run box. Now type devmgmt.msc on the textbox, and hit the enter button of your keyboard to run this command.
Step 2: the device manager windows prompt will come. Find out the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller option and expand it. Now select the Standard SATA AHCI Controller option and right-click on it, and choose the properties option.

Second move: Disable MSI for the controller in the registry.
Step 1: Please follow the fist move’s step 1 & step 2 to open the properties window.
Step 2: on the properties window, make sure that you are on the details tab. On the details tab, you will find a drop-down menu on the named device description. You need to select the device instance path option from this drop-down menu. The value started with PCI/ven.
Step 3: now you need to type regedit on the same sun box to open the registry editor.
Step 4: Navigate to “KHEY_ LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetenumPCI< AHCI controller>device parameter interrupt management MessageSignaledInterrruptProperties”, where <ahci controller> refers to the device instance path that you find in step 2. Now, change the value of the MSISupported key from 1 to 0.
Reboot your computer and take a look at the task manager to see the change in disk usage.
If your windows 10 task manager shows you 100% disk usage, you may face some problematic issues. Your computer performance will slow down, applications will take more time than usual. You need to fix the 100% disk usage problem to increase your computer performance.
