Step 3: Now, in the Properties window, you have to click on Tools at the top of the window.
Step 4: Next, in the Error-checking section, you have to click on the Check option.

Method 3: Run SFC Scan
Step 1: First, you have to go to the search engine and type cmd in the search box. Then, press Enter. From the search results, choose Command prompt.
Step 2: Then, you have to right-click on the Command prompt and select Run as administrator from the menu bar.
Step 3: Now, once you open the command prompt, you have to type SFC/scannow in the command line and then press Enter.
Step 4: Finally, you have to wait until the scanning process is completed.
Method 4: Repair the Bad Sectors
Step 1: First, you have to download the partition manager on your device. Then, you have to install the following on-screen instruction.
Step 2: Now, you have to right-click on the drive which you want to check the bad factors. Then, you have to select Surface Test from the menu.

Step 3: Next, on the New Simple Volume Wizard window, you have to check the Assign the following drive letter. Then, you have to set the letter of the drive and click Next.
Step 4: After this, in the Format Partition, you have to check the box next to the Format this volume with the following settings.
Step 5: There, you have to set the file name to NTFS and set the allocation unit size to Default.
Step 6: Finally, you have to follow the on-screen instructions and finish the process. Then, you have to restart your computer.
