  • G sync ultimate: G sync ultimate targets those with hdr content. G sync ultimate also called G sync HDR because it works with HDR content. Unlike regular G sync, G sync ultimate display used for multi-zone blacklights, ultra-low latency, DCI-p3 color gamut coverage, to run at the highest refresh rate at the monitor’s maximum regulation. Furthermore, G sync ultimate is certified for 1000 nit’s brightness with hdr video or video games and also validated for artifact-free performance.
  • G sync compatible: g sync compatible is the newest type. Nvidia started testing and approved g sync ultimate type in 2019. Like other g sync type, this type comes with adaptive sync technology like freesync. G sync compatible monitors can successfully run g sync even though they don’t have the same chips as a g sync or g sync ultimate monitor with the proper driver and a few caveats. G Sync vs Free Sync

The biggest rival of NVidia g sync is AMD freesync. Nvidia’s g sync and AMD’s free sync performs a lot of the same things, but the main difference is working methods. Both of them combat screen tearing by using ‘adaptive sync’ technology to avoid the input lag of virtual sync (v sync). G sync will hold an edge while working with low frame rates which can arise during graphically intense moments.
