Tap the Windows and ‘R’ keys together. Accordingly, the ‘Run’ window will appear on the screen.
Then you have to copy the below text and paste it into the ‘Open’ bar of the ‘Run’.
Next, click on the ‘Ok’.
Consequently, the ‘Disk Management’ window will become evident on the screen. Here at the left bottom, you will see the disk list. You have to right-click on a disk. As a result, you will get the ‘Convert to Dynamic Disk’ option in the appeared context menu. You have to select it.
After that, a separate ‘Convert to Dynamic Disk’ window will be visible. From here, you have to select one or more basic disks to convert to dynamic disks. Then click the ‘Ok’ tab.
Next, the ‘Disk to Convert’ window will appear. Here you will see a list of the disk that will convert into the dynamic. Confirm the list and tap the ‘Convert’ tab.
Finally, the disk will be converted successfully.
Utility 2: Run Diskpart
Another utility by which you can convert a basic disk to a dynamic disk is Diskpart. Here I will attach the detailed process below.
Tap the Windows key and type ‘cmd’. Consequently, you will see the preface of the ‘Command Prompt’. You have to select the ‘Run as administrator’ option from here.
Then, the ‘User Account Control’ pop-up will appear. You have to allow the ‘Command Prompt’ app to make changes to your device by pressing ‘Yes’.
Accordingly, the ‘Command Prompt’ window will become evident on the screen.
After that, you have to copy the below commands one by one and paste them into the window. By this time, you need to hit ‘enter’ each time you paste a single command.
